Home Ownership at a Glance
TNHA Homebuyer programs provide affordable options for Alaskan Natives/American Indians to realize the dream of home ownership. Once the terms of contract have been fulfilled, the homebuyer obtains full legal title to the property.
Conditional Installment Loan
The Contract of Conditional Installment Sale of Home (CL) is TNHA’s newest homeownership program supporting Alaskan Natives/American Indians. An amortization schedule provides a set payment amount each month and annual income certification is not required. Homes currently in the program are located in all communities of the North Slope Borough.
Mutual Help Homebuyers
The Mutual Help (MH) program is no longer available for new homebuyer purchases. It was the first homeownership program TNHA offered to qualified lower income Alaska Native/American Indian families. The homebuyer program was available in all communities of the North Slope Borough. Current homebuyers receive TNHA assistance until the loan is paid off. Annual income verification is required.
